About Us

School History

Lourdes English Medium School located in Kanajar village of Karkala Taluk was established in the year 2016. It was founded by Rev. Fr Alexander Lewis under the able guidance and support of our Bishop Most Rev Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, took the bold step to start ICSE school in this remote village.

In the Maiden year, we made a humble beginning with classes of LKG, UKG having 35 students. The Grade 1 to Grade-5 were added in the year 2017-2018 and the school grew to be a full – fledged Higher Primary School and got recognition by the Government of Karnataka in the year 2018-2019.The School obtained No Objection Certificate to start ICSE affiliation process from the State government on 22nd October 2021 and the school secured ICSE affiliation from the CISCE board, New Delhi on 24th November 2022 with Affiliation No : KA 434.

The school’s mission is to help students to achieve 360- degree development by providing adequate support and the best infrastructure and it has a vision to provide a sound education designed to fulfill the students all round development.

The school focuses on quality education unique teaching methods, overall growth and development of each and every child.The Management and staff leave no stone unturned in imparting value- based knowledge to the students.

An ideal academic environment, experienced and dedicated faculty, spacious classrooms, modernized science and computer labs, good network of school buses, auditorium, vast area for playground adds to the magnificent look of the school.

Our students showcased their agility and strength by participating in Taluk, District and state level sports, karate, Abacus, spell bee and cultural competitions.

The school is marching ahead under the able guidance of the correspondent Rev. Fr Vishal Lobo and under the Leadership of the Principal Mrs Jasmine Pinto.
